After more than 30 hours without contact with the aircraft, Malaysia Airlines told family members they should “prepare themselves for the worst,” Hugh Dunleavy, the commercial director for the airline, told reporters.
It took MAS 10 hours to hold a press conference to announce that MH 370 was missing.
On 9-3-2014 at 9 am there was a press conference by the Minister of Transport, YB Datuk Hishamudin Hussein and En Ahmad Jauhari Yahya (AJ) Group CEO of MAS spoke about “air turn back”, “CCTV footage of the two person used Austrian and Italian stolen passports” and “assets used for the search and rescue exercise”, HERE.
The missing MH 370, which was flying to Beijing, lost contact with Air Traffic Control (ATC) at 2:40 am on 8-3-2014. The first press conference by the Group CEO of MAS, En Ahmad Jauhari Yahya (AJ) was at 12 noon on 8-3-2014.
