On 8-8-2011 the MAS-AirAsia share swap was inked by Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar, the MD of Khazanah, and Tan Sri Tony Fernandes of AirAsia. The the Advisor of the said share swap was none other than Dato’ Seri Nazir Razak of CIMB. On 6-9-2013 both MAS and AirAsia were fined RM10 million each for “collaborating to integrate some routes in which they had earlier competed” under the said share swap. Part 1 was about the inking of the said MAS -AirAsia share swap with the advice from Datuk Seri Nazir Razak / CIMB and Bain & Co, HERE and Part 2 was the chronology of events after the said share swap before the appointment of AJ as Group CEO of MAS, HERE.
En Mohammad Rashdan Yusof (Rashdan) aka Danny, the appointed Deputy Group CEO of MAS has finally left MAS for good on 30 June 2012. It is believed that Rashdan will have no problem in going back to Khazanah as his former business partner in BinaFikir Sdn Bhd, Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar, is there to accommodate … Read more

Updates @ 1:15 pm on 13-6-2012: The MAS AGM has been fixed for 21-6-2012 at 10 am, MAS Academy, Kelana Jaya.

Updates @ 12:30 pm on 31-5-2012: Rumour has it that Mr Shane Nollan of PlaneConsult, who had played a very significant role in the uplifting of the 35,000 passengers from AAX Sdn Bhd with very low fares and the Re-Accommodation Agreement, has ended his “honeymoon” as Acting Commercial Director of MAS yesterday. Was his tenure ended abruptly? Is PlaneConsult still doing the “CONSULTING” work for AJ?
It seems that Rashdan, the Amok’s most trusted crony, is still running “AMOK” in MAS. He was seen accompanying AJ in the inaugural A380 flight from Paris to KL yesterday.
Can someone in MAS help to confirm the above? Thank you

Updates @ 4:30 pm on 18-5-2012: Please read “Rafidah gone off her rockers”. If YB Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz has gone off her rockers then AJ has gone senile to have signed the secret “Supplementary Collaborative Agreement” and two MOUs with AirAsia/AAX almost immediately after the secret share swap was unwound. Until this day AJ could not reveal what were the exact nature of the collaborations. So far, what we have witnessed was a collaboration based on “MAS gives ALL, AirAsia/AirAsia X take ALL”, in HERE.

Updates @ 3:55 pm on 9-5-2012: Yours truly has just been reminded by a reader Mr KL Ang that Mr Martin Barrow is another Mat Salleh that was brought back to MAS after the infamous Share “SUAP” and that he is just as incompetence as Mr Shane Nollan. Mr Martin Barrow was brought back by AJ on 19-1-2012 to be Advisor to Group CEO and he also sit on the Board Safety & Security Committee and advise MAS on “Global developments on wide range of commercial issues”, in HERE.
With such Mat Salleh Advisor and yet AJ and the top management of MAS are still in desperate need for the other consultant firms like PlaneConsult and others to think for them. No wonder MAS is BLEEDING due to the “TOP HEAVY MANAGEMENT”. Please read “Time to bring real aviation experts onto MAS board”.

Updates @ 7:30 pm on 7-5-2012: En Aziz Bakar, the Chairman of AirAsia, has been quoted to have said today in Bernama that “Both airlines are looking at the right module and proposals on collaboration after the swap deal was dropped. We are creating a win-win situation. To us at AirAsia, whatever we do must be a win-win scenario, whether its a share swap or collaboration. If not why would we want to sign in the first place.”, in HERE.
