Hopefully when AirAsia goes to Honolulu & Pattaya in a few months time, it will not be forced to use aerobridge as it is not part of its business model. AirAsia will only use mobile stairs as shown in the picture. Honolulu & Pattaya airports please get ready to accommodate.
Updates @ 4:45 pm on 20-5-2015: Another AirAsia’s route expansion to Kaoshiung, Taiwan, commencing on 16-7-2015. It looks like AirAsia is on an expansion spree. Congratulation!HERE.
Updates @ 2:35 pm on 20-5-2015: AirAsia had now denied a report that it is selling its Big Loyalty Programe, HERE. Congratulations!
Of late, we hear so much of AirAsia’s great expansion plans. As Malaysians, we can’t help but to feel very proud about it because no other airlines in the world could match its fantastic business model and achievements without any help from the government – so we were told.
The Star on 27-1-2015: Another master piece by BK Sidhu, the editor of Star Business.
On 26-1-2015 Tony Fernandez, the CEO of AirAsia issued a press statement that AirAsia was abolishing fuel surcharge for its flights. BK Sidhu, the Star Business Editor, went on an overdrive to assist in the spinning of the said announcement to put AirAsia in the good light during this particular period. Prior to the crash of the unauthorised AirAsia’s flight QZ8501, Tony and/or AirAsia have been enjoying positive stories from BK Sidhu, the editor of Star Business.
The extremely learned YB Datuk Nur Jazlan, Chairman of PAC and former Chairman of UDA
Yours truly has been reliably informed that only the extremely learned and independent Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), YB Datuk Nur Jazlan, and YB Tony Pua, who was the CEO of a Cyber Village Holdings Ltd in Singapore, were dominating in the PAC meeting held on 28-4-2014. It must be noted that YB Tony Pua has been known to have been following up on issues raised by Tan Sri Tony Fernandes on KLIA2 especially on the so-called cost overrun and delay.
The extremely learned & independent Chairman of PAC and former Chairman of UDA , YB Datuk Nur Jazlan.
In Part 1 of this posting, yours truly has dealt with paragraphs 1 to 4 of the press statement dated 28-4-21024 (just 4 days before the opening of KLIA2) of the learned and very independent Chairman of PAC, YB Datuk Nur Jazlan.
AirAsia imposes RM3.00 KLIA2 Airport Fees per passenger. Cebu Pacific Air, Tiger Air and Malindo Air do not charge such airport fees.
Updates on 11-5-2014 @ 1:45 pm:
AirAsia has said that it has to pass on the charge of RM3.00 KLIA2 Airport Fees to passengers because of MAHB’s charges for aerobridge, check-in system and others. It was crystal clear that AirAsia was trying hard to pass the blame to MAHB for AirAsia’s own imposition of the KLIA2 Airport Fees of RM3.00. It would appear that the nation has been burdened with endless problematic AirAsia. Please read below the view of Malindo Air on the AirAsia’s KLIA2 Airport Fees of RM3.00.
Malindo Air chief executive officer Mr Chandran Ramamurthy told The Rakyat Post that his airline’s prices were all-inclusive and confirmed that the RM3 free, as MAHB had said, was set by AirAsia. “We don’t want to burden our passengers with our operations cost. The airport does not charge RM3 per passenger. AirAsia came up with RM3 based on their own calculations.”For the full report by The Rakyat Post, please readHERE.
Everyone thought that AirAsia is a very powerful airline when it announced that it will stay put in LCCT despite the completion of KLIA2. Now Everyone Can Laugh Out Loud at the 180 degree u-turn when AirAsia starts to operate at KLIA2 today.
“NOW EVERYONE CAN SUE & BE COMPENSATED FOR MISTREATMENT”
A pregnant housewife ordered to disembark from an AirAsia aircraft in Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia three years ago for not having a medical certificate to travel, was awarded RM43,999 in damages by the Court of Appeal here today.
When AirAsia & AirAsia X alleged that KLIA2 is unsafe, BK Sidhu and the Star gave massive publicities. When ICAO gave KLIA2 a clean bill of health to KLIA2 Star gave a one liner on the allegations by AirAsia which has been underlined in red for easy reference.
The International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) has verified that KLIA2 is structurally in compliance with its requirements and safety standards.
Disabled persons protesting against AirAsia a few years ago.
Updates @ 3 pm 7-1-2014: A disabled person called yours truly to publish the actual cost for using the wheelchair per trip so that the Government and the Ministry of Transport will be made aware of how AirAsia treated its disabled passengers. He was hoping that the Government will put a stop to this high charges as a form of indirectly discriminating against disabled person from travelling on AirAsia flights.
It cost a disabled person RM120for one way and RM240 return trip for using the wheelchair service from AirAsia. It is to be noted that wheelchair service from check-in to the aircraft is provided by all airlines. Thank you MAS for providing free wheelchair service to its disabled passengers. Syabas MAS!
It was most shocking to learn that AirAsia is charging disabled person RM60 if he or she needs to use the wheelchair. Such astronomical charges amounted to indirect discrimination against the disabled person. It was reported in Sarawak Tribune. Please see below for the said report .
The highly acclaimed journalist Ms BK Sidhu, who has just being promoted as the new Editor of StarBiz, had quoted an unknown source that the AirASIA X IPO SHARE will be over-subscribed by 3 to 4 times which later turned out to be FALSE.
