Updated @ 12 noon 2-12-2011: Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar, MD of Khazanah, has been extremely quiet over the secret MAS – AirAsia share swap, CCF and the constant attacks against MAHB by the Spin Doctor. Rummour has it that Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar has summoned Tan Sri Bashir Ahmad, the MD of MAHB, to a meeting at 6 pm on Saturday (3-12-2011) in Khazanah HQ. Going by Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar’s stand during the meeting with bloggers on 16-8-2011 that “Tan Sri Bashir has done a brilliant job in MAHB”, yours truly wild guess is Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar would want to back Tan Sri Bashir to stand firm and not allow MAHB to be pushed around by the Spin Doctor.
Yours truly knew as a matter of fact that the Spin Dr is a good friend of Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar but professionalism shall prevail. It will be interesting to see what is going to happen after the said meeting.
Yours truly also hopes that Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar will also advise Tan Sri Bashir not to allow any airline to owe Airport Tax and to take immediate actions to stop all facilities in the airport if an airline does not pay up the Airport Tax within two weeks and that MAHB should also take actions to demand for payment of the Airport Taxes totaling RM6.895 million held by AirAsia and AirAsia X Sdn Bhd for the “untravelled passengers”.ReadHERE.

Updated @ 12:30 am 22-11-2011: Tan Sri Azman Mokthar, the MD of Khazanah Nasional Bhd in his briefing to PAC yesterday morning and acknowledged that they were 50 verbal and written questions raised by 36 MPs in Parliament. Yours truly regretted and apologized that a new posting cannot be done with regards to what Tan Sri Azman Mokthar and En Ahmad Jauhari, MAS MD, have told PAC with regards to the secret MAS-AirAsia share swap and the so-called Collaborative framework on 21-11-2011. Updated on 18-11-2011: YB Datuk Seri Kong Cho Ha, Minister of Transport, said yesterday that the Cabinet had approved the increase in charges in February 2009 and the delay in imposing the new rates had caused the tax payers RM180 millions a year in subsidizing international travelers. There had been a lot of other increases done by the airlines quietly and nobody is making noise, said the Minister in respond to Dr Spinner’s dissatisfaction through the social media. Read HERE for the increases in AirAsia’s hidden charges. The Government should stop entertaining private airlines’ business model just for them to make profits at the expense of tax payers.
Tan Sri Tony Fernandes’ (Tony) contention is that the RM7.oo increase is too much to pay for LCCT which he likens to an “airconditioned horse stable” on Twitter. The hike also affect travelers and he claimed that it was unjustified and that it would affect his business. He said on Twitter. “…RM25 for services in LCCT? What a rip off! It’s an air-conditioned horse stable!’ He said on his Faebook, “AirAsia has been fighting to make them cheaper for common man. Airport taxes are paid by Malaysians and passengers. The money doesn’t go to AirAsia but MAHB.”

In respond to yours truly question, YB Datuk Azmi Khalid, the Public Account Committee (PAC) Chairman, told Parliament yesterday that PAC has decided to investigate into the secret MAS – AirAsia share swap. Yours truly has been informed that PAC will commence its investigations into the said secret share swap on 22 November 2011. Hopefully something good will come out of this investigations for the rank and file employees of MAS and the nation.
