Updated 1:30 am 7-12-2011: There two interesting articles that are worth reading about the incompetencies of Tan Sri Azman  Mokhtar and his secret MAS – share swap, CCF, and Tan Sri Tony Fernandes (Tony) wanted a Service Level Agreement with MAHB. Hopefully Tan Sri Asman Mokhtar will not suddenly sign another secret share swap agreement involving MAHB, where Tony will be appointed the new MD for MAHB.   In HERE & HERE.

Updated @ 4:45 pm 6-12-2011:  Yours truly has been informed by reliable sources that the notification for this town hall meeting states that if the staff want to attend the meeting, he or she will have to obtain prior approval from their head of department. Just wondering how many staff will be given the approval to attend. Although there were talks of the meeting will be stage managed, yours truly believes that unlike others AJ will put into practice transparency in MAS. Hopefully AJ will do a tell all with regards to the “secret” CCF, which is the main concern of the staff and the nation.

En Ahmad Jauhari Yahya (AJ), MD of MAS and En Mohammed Rashdan Yusof aka Danny (Rashdan), Deputy MD of MAS, who was Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar’s former business partner in BinaFikir Sdn Bhd, have called for a town hall meeting tomorrow (7-12-2011) at 9:30 am at the MAS Academy to unveil their so-called “Comprehensive Collaborative Framework” (CCF) and New Business Plans to save MAS. Yours truly hopes that MAS management will allow time off for its members of staff to attend this town hall meeting to learn about the grand plans that will affect their future and livelihoods.

Updated @ 1:30 pm 3-12-2011: Rumour has it that Tan Sri Bashir will be given the boot at the 6 pm meeting with Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar. Yours truly hopes that this is just a rumour but in this Boleh Land more often than not rumours turned out to be true later. Please read HERE, HERE, HERE & HERE.   

Updated @ 12 noon 2-12-2011: Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar, MD of Khazanah, has been extremely quiet over the secret MAS – AirAsia share swap, CCF and the constant attacks against MAHB by the Spin Doctor. Rummour has it that Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar has summoned Tan Sri Bashir Ahmad, the MD of MAHB, to a meeting at 6 pm on Saturday (3-12-2011) in Khazanah HQ.  Going by Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar’s stand during the meeting with bloggers on 16-8-2011 that “Tan Sri Bashir has done a brilliant job in MAHB”, yours truly wild guess is Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar would want to back Tan Sri Bashir to stand firm and not allow MAHB to be pushed around by the Spin Doctor.

Yours truly knew as a matter of fact that the Spin Dr is a good friend of Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar but professionalism shall prevail. It will be interesting to see what is going to happen after the said meeting.

Yours truly also hopes that Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar will also advise Tan Sri Bashir not to allow any airline to owe Airport Tax and to take immediate actions to stop all facilities in the airport if an airline does not pay up the Airport Tax within two weeks and that MAHB should also take actions to demand for payment of the Airport Taxes totaling RM6.895 million held by AirAsia and AirAsia X Sdn Bhd for the “untravelled passengers”. Read HERE.

Updated @ 12:30 am 22-11-2011:  Tan Sri Azman Mokthar, the MD of Khazanah Nasional Bhd in his briefing to PAC yesterday morning and acknowledged that they were 50 verbal and written questions raised by 36 MPs in Parliament. Yours truly regretted and apologized  that a new posting cannot be done with regards to what Tan Sri Azman Mokthar and En Ahmad Jauhari, MAS MD, have told PAC with regards to the secret MAS-AirAsia share swap and the so-called Collaborative framework on 21-11-2011. Yours truly was too elated that Malaysia won the SEA Game Football Championship. Cheers to Harimau Muda! The Harimau Muda under the leadership of Mr Ong Kim Sew have made the nation proud. Maruah Negara dan Harapan Negara dipertahanakan oleh Harimau Muda tanah airku!

Updated on 18-11-2011: YB Datuk Seri Kong Cho Ha, Minister of Transport, said yesterday that the Cabinet had approved the increase in charges in February 2009 and the delay in imposing the new rates had caused the tax payers RM180 millions a year in subsidizing international travelers. There had been a lot of other increases done by the airlines quietly and nobody is making noise, said the Minister in respond to Dr Spinner’s dissatisfaction through the social media. Read HERE for the increases in AirAsia’s hidden charges. The Government should stop entertaining private airlines’ business model just for them to make profits at the expense of tax payers.  

Tan Sri Tony Fernandes’ (Tony) contention is that the RM7.oo increase is too much to pay for LCCT which he likens to an “airconditioned horse stable” on Twitter.   The hike also affect travelers and he claimed that it was unjustified and that it would affect his business. He said on Twitter. “…RM25 for services in LCCT? What a rip off! It’s an air-conditioned horse stable!’ He said on his Faebook, “AirAsia has been fighting to make them cheaper for common man. Airport taxes are paid by Malaysians and passengers. The money doesn’t go to AirAsia but MAHB.”

MP of all divides condemned the MAS – AirAsia share swap!

During the Committee Stage of the Budget Debate today, many MPs of all divides spoke strongly against the secret MAS – Asia share swap.

YB Hajah Nancy bt Hj Shukri (MP for Batang Sadong, Sarawak), YB Datuk Hj Muhamad bin Hj Aziz (MP for Sri Gading, Johor), Datuk Bung Moktar (MP for Kinabatagan, Sabah), YB Datuk Wira Hj Ahmad bin Hj Hamzah (MP for Jasin, Melaka), YB Datuk Dr Makin @ Marcus Majigoh (MP for Putatan, Sabah) yours truly and other MPS questioned the rationale and condemned the said secret share swap, the so-called “Collaborative Frameworks” and Tan Sri Tony Fernandes’ instance of his AirAsia outfits would not use the aerobridge in the new KLIA-2.

Who is the CEO of MAS?


Is Datuk Kamarudin Meranun the defacto CEO of MAS?

It would appear that the defacto CEO of MAS is Datuk Kamarudin Meranun, who is also the Deputy CEO of AirAsia Bhd and recently appointed Non-Executive Director of MAS after the secret MAS – AirAsia share swap was inked on 9-8-2011.  Yours truly was surprised that a Non-Executive Director of MAS was speaking as though he is the CEO of MAS.  Even the powerful En Mohammed Rashdan Yusof, the whiz kid and Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar‘s former business partner in BinaFikir Sdn Bhd, is extremely tame after the appointment of En Ahmad Jauhari as the CEO of MAS.

Bursa KL: Take drastic actions against the directors of MAS & Tune Air

  
Bursa KL is very quiet about the non disclosure of the MAS - AirAsia share swap

Prior to the inking of the secret MAS – AirAsia share swap and the “Collaborative Frameworks” agreements , both MAS and Tune Air Sdn Bhd did not make any announcement that they were negotiating for the secret MAS – AirAsia share swap. Both the directors of MAS and Tune Air Sdn Bhd’s are duty bound to disclose to Bursa KL about the said negotiations.
