Another poor attempt at spinning!

Are they still smiling now?

Updated on 18-11-2011: YB Datuk Seri Kong Cho Ha, Minister of Transport, said yesterday that the Cabinet had approved the increase in charges in February 2009 and the delay in imposing the new rates had caused the tax payers RM180 millions a year in subsidizing international travelers. There had been a lot of other increases done by the airlines quietly and nobody is making noise, said the Minister in respond to Dr Spinner’s dissatisfaction through the social media. Read HERE for the increases in AirAsia’s hidden charges. The Government should stop entertaining private airlines’ business model just for them to make profits at the expense of tax payers.

Tan Sri Tony Fernandes’ (Tony) contention is that the RM7.oo increase is too much to pay for LCCT which he likens to an “airconditioned horse stable” on Twitter.   The hike also affect travelers and he claimed that it was unjustified and that it would affect his business. He said on Twitter. “…RM25 for services in LCCT? What a rip off! It’s an air-conditioned horse stable!’ He said on his Faebook, “AirAsia has been fighting to make them cheaper for common man. Airport taxes are paid by Malaysians and passengers. The money doesn’t go to AirAsia but MAHB.”

Tony: The truth hurts!

Tan Sri Md Nor Md Yusof & Tan Sri Tony Fernandes were smiling away!

Tony Fernandes’ Comment:

Tony Fernandes

MP Wee,

Your comments are disgraceful for a Member of Parliament.

AirAsia X has been open about the RAS issue. All our accounts have been audited by the Auditor-General’s Office. If there remains dissatisfaction, we are more than happy to have the Public Accounts Committee go through the accounts again.

Time and time again, you have repeated your baseless allegations. Yet, each time we suggest a face-to-face meeting, you have refused to accept our offer.

The last straw is dragging my late mother into this issue. There is no need to get personal. I am sure you would not want anyone to denigrate your family members as well.

Once again, I extend you an invitation to AirAsia X to meet with our management team so that we can answer any queries that you have. Azran, Kamarudin and I are at your disposal. We hope that together we can lay the issue to rest.

Tony

“Even Messi will have trouble scoring” said Tan Sri Dr Munir

Tan Sri Dr Munir Majid, the former Chairman of MAS

Yours truly hopes that for the sake of MAS, our national carrier, En Ahmad Jauhari Yahya, the current MD of MAS, Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar, En Mohammed Rashdan Yusof, YB Tan Sri Nor Mohamad Yacop and the Government will seriously consider what the former chairman and MD of MAS have said about the track records of AirAsia and AirAsia X Sdn Bhd before embarking on more decisions. which will be detrimental to MAS.  Were the recent decisions made by the current AirAsia and AirAsia X Bhd “friendly” MAS management to cancel Firefly routes from JB to KK and Kuching in September 2011 and MAS route from KL to Bandung in October 2011 in the best interests of MAS?

TF didn’t tell the whole truth about AirAsia X & RAS

One not telling the truth and the other condoning it!

Updated: 25-10-2011 Please read the article quoted from Business Time report dated 21-7-2006AirAsia not the ‘golden child’. You will see from this report how AirAsia got all the helps (i.e. AirAsia was given 91 trunk routes and etc) from the Badawi’s Administration under the so-called “domestic air rationalisation exercise” and AirAsia grew at the expense of MAS.

Below was what Tan Sri Tony Fernandes had been reported to have said as reported by the Star on 26-4-2007 when the then Minister of Transport, Datuk Chan Kong Choy, announced that FAX/AirAsia X Sdn Bhd had to return the Rural Air Services (RAS) in Sabah and Sarawak to MAS.

“Fernandes said FAX would be launching AirAsia Long Haul operations soon, and that it would be too distracting to operate turbo-propeller aircraft as well.”

Parliamentary Questions For October Session 2011

Updated on 22-9-2011 @ 6:10: Please go to Outsyed The Box to read “7 reasons why Khazanah should not undertake the share swap between MAS and AirAsia by troubleshooter”. It is very interesting to read the seven reasons in the said article. Perhaps YB Tan Sri Nor Mohamad Yacob, the former very powerful Minister of  Finance II under the Badawi’s Administration, Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar, the MD of Khazanah, Tan Sri Md Nor Md Yusof, the then MD of MAS during the famous WAU and the newly crowned Chairman of MAS after the secret share swap, En Mohammed Rahsdan Yusof, co-founder of BinaFikir Sdn Bhd with Tan Sri Azman, Datuk Azman Yahya, the reappointed MAS director of Scomi fame, can learn a thing or two from the said articles. After reading the said article, it is hoped that the abovenamed personalities will see the light and stop the secret share swap and reverse all the recent decisions that were detrimental to MAS/Firefly i.e. cancelation of Firefly’s full load flights during festive season, termination of Firefly’s profitable routes from JB to KK and Kuching, the RM18 sponsorship of home jersey for QPR,  and the most recent termination of MAS profitable route from KLIA to Bandung (Indonesia) and others that have not been exposed.
